Acceptance Tests
Will a new communication solution have a major impact on your organisation, your processes and the users? If so, it is recommended to run one or more acceptance tests. Such as a ‘Proof of Concept’ (PoC), the ‘Factory Acceptance Test’ (FAT), the ‘Site Acceptance Test’ (SAT) and User Acceptance Tests (UAT).
To establish if your new communication solution satisfies your wishes and requirements, we can build in several test moments. In some cases, simple checklists and/or a functional test on delivery will suffice, whereas in more complex projects Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) or User Acceptance Tests (UAT) will also play an important role.
Our recommendation will indicate which tests are required to achieve the agreed quality of your communication system. We will build in enough moments to guarantee an error-free delivery and to secure acceptance by your users, on the basis of the critical success factors of your communication system, our experience and your organisation’s specific wishes and requirements.
Components of this service
With a PoC, we test if and how the selected technology or solution works in your environment. Running this test at an early stage still leaves enough room for adjustments. The key to a successful PoC is to set clear test objectives, appoint a group of dedicated testers for a strict test period and conclude with a clear evaluation.
The FAT helps to ensure that your communication solution meets the agreed functionality and quality standards. We will run the FAT prior to delivery, following a pre-established test protocol signed by the manufacturer and Flash. This way, you are guaranteed that the solution meets your requirements. If possible, we would like to give you the opportunity to attend the FAT.
Even after transport, programming and installation at your site, the solution must work perfectly. That’s why we carry out the SAT on-site. This is a functional test in which all steps of the FAT are run again on-site. We do this following a pre-formulated test protocol that is signed by you and Flash. After the SAT, you can be sure that the solution will also fully meet your requirements at your site. In fact, you are immediately assured of a successful delivery.
It’s very important that your users enjoy working with the new communication solution. This is why you can ask for a UAT to be carried out. This will usually be the last test before the final delivery after the FAT and the SAT. During the UAT, users fill in a test form to methodically process their findings. Functional operation and connectivity are important test components. This test helps to increase acceptance by your users.
