The Royal Dutch Lawn Tennis Association (KNLTB) is the umbrella organisation for tennis sports and tennis clubs in the Netherlands. More than 1,700 tennis clubs, and over 580,000 tennis players, are affiliated to the KNLTB. The KNLTB advises and supports boards of tennis clubs in the area of club policy, accommodation and in legal disputes. The tennis association is also responsible for national and district competitions, tournaments and for providing training to tennis instructors and umpires.
At big tennis events organised by the KNLTB (such as Davis Cup matches), communication is absolutely crucial. Employees must be in constant communication with each other in order to maintain an overview and ensure safety. The KNLTB uses radio communication via two-way radios to guarantee coverage. The use of a two-way radio also offers advantages in terms of efficiency as it allows direct communication with an entire group, which creates an overview of the communication lines.
KNLTB has been relying on Flash’s communication solutions since 1999. Flash provides the KNLTB Hytera PD605 two-way radios in the long term rental. Renting offers the advantage that Flash will replace batteries free of charge and provide the KNLTB with the relevant service
