The new Motorola MOTOTRBO R2 is the replacement for the DP1400 and is an advanced digital walkie-talkie. The device meets the heavy specifications for environmental conditions (MIL-STD-810H) and can be used in the security-, event-, transport-, logistics- and construction industries. It is more resistant to drops due to a modified design and suitable for outdoor use in accordance with IP55. With a better and more robust protective cover for the connector, the device is safe to use in very dusty environments. The design allows for great ease of use and operation, even with gloves on. The R2 delivers fast and secure communication wherever and whenever you want.
The R2 has a long battery life. As a result, you will never be faced with surprises and the device can be used for up to 26 hours without interruption. The device covers long distances with brightness and noise reduction. A large speaker and improved audio software ensure that this unit is better understood. Three configured audio profiles with separate audio settings ensure flexible deployment.
The R2’s audio jack is 2-pin based and standard with fixed accessory protection. This is the same as that of its predecessor, the DP1400, so the same accessories can be used. New and improved accessories are available. The remote speaker mic (RSM) is available in 2 versions, with 3.5 mm audio jack or without 3.5 mm audio jack. Standard delivery is with a large battery 2300 mAh, a smaller battery 2100 mAh is possible as an option.
