The Kenwood NXR-1700 VHF repeater and the NXR-1800 UHF repeater are Kenwood’s smallest and universal repeaters. These new small repeaters support all modern techniques as developed and used by Kenwood. Think of analog, DMR or Nexedge (NXDN) and are therefore fully compatible with the previous generation of Keyword repeaters such as TKR-D and the NXR series.
By default, the NXR repeater is supplied in the analog version and the choice can be made via a license to expand the repeater with the DMR or the NXDN protocol. Also with its small size, 21 cm wide by 24 cm deep and 5 cm high, this repeater offers a maximum output power of 40 Watts and extensive functionalities such as a clear display, a large accessory connector, supporting management based on SNMP, network support up to 16 locations, etc.
Also in terms of security, the NXR repeater is fully up to date and supports AES and DES in addition to the common security protocols of DMR and NXDN.
