In the spotlight: Angelique Adriaans

Another month, another Flash Employee in the Spotlight! In this monthly column, we want to introduce the people behind the organisation and ask them some fun questions. Today, we present Angelique Adriaans. Keep reading to find out more about Angelique’s daily work!

What’s your role at Flash?

“I manage the Customer Service Centre. The CSC is the first point of contact for our customers and the team currently consists of 10 women. We address customer questions, prepare quotes, orders and contracts and support the account managers in their sales activities. I always strive to find balance and increase happiness at work within the team. I’m there for my team and if there are problems, I’ll look for a solution.”

How long have you been doing this work?

I’ve been with Flash for three years, and in this role for two years. I started at the marketing department, supporting the account managers by setting up meetings with customers and organising trade fairs and events. I honestly thought that I had the best job at Flash, but I’m glad that I took this step.

Which part of your job do you enjoy the most?

“The best part of my job is being able to find out together with the team how we can make the department even more efficient and to work together with the account managers and the other departments within Flash to serve the customers even better. I think it’s very important to do this together. My team is on the phone with customers every day so they know exactly what’s working and what’s not. By being even more focused, we can serve our customers in the best possible way. I believe it’s important to create opportunities for growth in my team, but to create calm and clarity as well. I know that everyone is working hard and that sometimes there’s a lot of pressure, but when I hear a sudden burst of laughter in the hallways, I know it’s all right.”

What has changed in the past few years?

“We started as a department that picked up everything as it came in. But because Flash and the sales department were growing steadily, it was necessary to introduce more structure and to link office staff to one or more account managers so that cooperation between the account managers and office staff would improve and the customer would be better served. We want to be an even stronger proactive sales organisation that adds value for the customer. The commitment, product knowledge and expertise of our staff are what set our customer service department apart. The transition we are experiencing now is very cool, both customers and employees notice the difference. We’re really getting this done together.”

Finally, what do you like the most about Flash and why?

“At Flash, customer satisfaction comes first. Every day, we and all of our employees do everything we can to help our customers in the best possible way. We take good care of our customers and keep each other focused so that we can keep doing this and keep improving.”

  • Mother of Sam (23) and Eva (21), married to Henk
  • Fond of the fine things in life and loves celebrating carnival with her group of friends in the Brabant countryside
  • Enjoys daily walks with her two dachshunds (Dushi and Coco) and loves dinner parties with friends.
